Steps From The Hotel:

In most cities, going to a museum, zoo and baseball game would require multiple outings. In Indy, it requires only one trip to White River State Park, a 220-acre cultural district offering endless activities in Indianapolis including sporting events, cultural and educational attractions and much more. For more information visit www.inwhiteriver.org
White River State Park attractions highlights include:
•    NCAA Hall of Champions
•    Indianapolis Zoo
•    IMAX Theater
•    Indiana State Museum
•    Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art
•    Victory Field (Sports Illustrated’s Best Minor League Ballpark)
•    Canals and promenades with Segway, bicycle, and boat rentals

A Short walk…

Circle Centre Mall:

With over 100 shops and restaurants and connected to most of the city via skybridge, Circle Center mall is one of the most easily accessible and convenient downtown shopping malls.

Monument Circle:
Standing 284 feet tall, just 10 feet shorter than the Statue of Liberty, the Soldiers and Sailors Monument was built to honor the 24,000 Hoosiers who were lost during the Civil War. Completed in 1901, the statue is Indianapolis' signature structure built in the city's original mile square. Leading directly to the Monument is Meridian Street, named this because it runs on one of the numbered lines of longitude.

Indiana State House:
The Indiana Statehouse, adjacent to the JW Marriott hotel, has been the seat of Indiana's government since 1887 and is perhaps the grandest 19th-century Neo-Classical Revival building in Indiana.

St. Johns Church:
Founded in 1937, St. Johns is one of the most revered landmarks of Indianapolis for its glorious Cathedral and is located in the heart of the business district.

Union Station:
Discover the single most important icon of the city's railroad era. Repeatedly rebuilt and expanded to handle the city's growing railroad business (over 200 trains passed through the station at the turn of the 20th century), the current station is famous for the Romanesque Revival architecture, its tapered stone walls, and its massive multi-coursed round brick arches.

A Short Drive…
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway:
With capacity for approximately 400,000 spectators, it is the largest sporting facility in the world and recently celebrated its 100th anniversary. To many, the Speedway is known simply as "The Brickyard", harking back to a day when over 3.2 million bricks circled the track.  The Hall of Fame Museum and Track Tours are available year round.  For more information visit www.indianapolismotorspeedway.com

The Children's Museum of Indianapolis:

Indianapolis is home to the world's largest children's museum. The five-story building encourages children to expand their mind in a fun and informative atmosphere. Welcoming you into the museum is the world's largest blown glass sculpture. Additional exhibits include Take Me There: Egypt; Dinosphere: Now You’re in THEIR World; and All Aboard! where visitors are transported back to the "age of steam" complete with a 55-ton steam engine that was built in 1868. For more information please visit www.childrensmuseum.org

Conner Prairie:
Located just six miles north of Indianapolis, Conner Prairie is an interactive history park with four themed historic areas to explore: Lenape Camp, Conner Homestead, 1836 Prairietown and 1859 Balloon Voyage. In each area "look, don’t touch" becomes "look, touch, smell, taste and hear” as you live history first-hand. Explore 200 beautiful, wooded acres and discover fun daily activities, themed days and exciting ways to experience the past with your family. Don’t miss the Animals Encounter Barn where you can get up close with your favorite farm friends. For more information please visit www.connerprairie.org
