PSI Seminars:2010 - 2011 SCHEDULE:
Executive Leadership Institute (ELI).  PSI established ELI to provide an opportunity for senior-level professionals in Adventist instutions the opportunity to meet, learn about and discuss issues in philanthropy and fundraising, move beyond the how-to of the profession, and plan to implement strategies that promote the growth of giving, professionalism, and increased numbers of persons in the field.  ELI will hold meetings in Orlando, FL, August 2-4, 2010, prior to the ASI Convention. Attendance is by invitation only.

Prior to the GCS in Atlanta, GA, PSI will be conducting two, half-day seminars at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center, 100 CNN Center, Atlanta, GA.. The first seminar, Fundraising as a Ministry, will explore the fundamentals of fundraising from a biblical perspective and show how to implement best practices into the day-to-day work. This seminar is scheduled for June 22, 2010, from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.. The second seminar, International Fundraising, will focus on the unique challenges and opportunities found when working with different cultures. This seminar is scheduled for June 23, 2010, starting at 8 a.m. - 12 noon.  Designed for pastors, ministry workers, and conference and union leaders, these seminars are open to anyone wishing to attend.  Registration cost is $20 for one session or $35 for both sessions.  To register, please contact Chris Bearce at chris.bearce@nad.adventist.org.

The Adventist Ministries Convention is an opportunity for Philanthropy Professionals to re-think, re-evaluate, re-tool, and re-discover what your ministry's goals are for North America. Union and conference administrators, department directors, ministry professionals, pastors, part-time directors, lay resource specialists, and others assigned by conferences to provide training for local church leaders are welcome. COURSE: Nonprofit Leadership Certification, May 16-20, 2010, Denver, CO
DESCRIPTION: Hosted by Adventist Community Services, the certification program consists of basic training to build participants skill and knowledge in three areas: Managerial and technical issues to improve participants' abilities to effectively handle the business and administrative responsibilities of nonprofit management; Leadership to improve participant' abilities to affect community change; and Understanding of biblical concepts to improve participants abilities to minister in a dynamic environment.
